Imagine a hot and muggy summer day in Virginia. Two friends are cooling down with freshly made blueberry and ginger mojitos and trying to think of a way to use the just picked rainbow swiss chard from one’s mother’s vegetable garden. “We should totally start a blog about the food we’re always making,” says the friend with the gardening mom (That would be the friend with a Master’s in Information Science, Emilie). “What?” says the other (That would be the less tech savvy friend, Ruth). “You can finish your mojito, first.” “Ok, then let’s start a blog!”
