Washington, D.C. Restaurant Week Extended

Twice a year, the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington organizes Restaurant Week in the Nation’s Capital. Ah, Restaurant Week memories! One January, we had a Ladies Night at Bistro Bis and we ended up sharing elbow room at the bar with now Vice President Biden while waiting for our table. Pretty exciting for a Political Science major!

This year, the summer session was the week of August 15-21. If this is the first you are hearing about it and are now banging your head on your desk or table top, not to worry! I received an e-mail from Open Table announcing that Restaurant Week has been extended through the end of the month. Yay! Check them out for the listing, or click here.

Restaurant Week is an amazing time to check out the many area eateries without too much damage to your bank account. Of course, there are hits and misses, so make sure to check out the reviews of your choices before making your reservations!

  1. Just got back from Columbia Firehouse (https://corkandspoon.wordpress.com/). Their restaurant week menu included everything on the menu save for the Charcuterie and raw bar. I highly recommend the beef tenderloin and the lemon-raspberry “bread pudding”
